We provide the following services:

Forming Hot Glass:

Using torches and bed fires we manipulate tubing and rod to make complex glassware. We create products from the simple test tube to complex alkali metal cells using exotic glass types including fabrication and repair of scientific glassware including Rotary Evaporators. Please submit a drawing or request for prompt quotation.

Glass to Metal Seals:

We have been making Kovar seals and tungsten seals on a production basis for over 35 years with high yields and a very low rejection rate. We also make platinum to glass seals along with, tungsten to glass seals, and Mullite (Alumina Ceramic) to glass seals. Mullite can be heated to over 1,200°C during experiments.

Hermetic Sealing

Through years of experience we can deliver glass to metal seals and glass to glass seals without leaks. We have sealed plastic assemblies in glass for liquid level indicators and metal components for corrosion studies. We test all vacuum ware with a Tesla coil to detect leaks.
